Josephine 2020 Bio

Josephine 2020 Bio

'Josephine' is made from the Roesler grape, a fungus-resistant grape variety (piwi), grown on a block around Oggau. The 30-year-old vines thrive in limestone soil.
After fermentation in used 500 L, 1000 L, and 1500 L casks from Stockinger, the wine matures for 8 months in used 500 L casks. It's bottled without added sulfur and without filtration.
Named after Josephine, the second wife of Timotheus, a libertine with a taste for the unknown, this wine embodies her character. It offers a spicy, juicy, and intense profile with fine acidity and delicate tannins.
