High Diving Horses 2019
High Diving Horses 2019
This wine, named after the sport of High Diving Horses, which actually existed, might reflect Stefan's bold feeling when he started pursuing his own winemaking style. Blaufränkisch grapes originate from the single vineyard Hussi, planted in the 1960s at 350 m above sea level, featuring limestone soil.
The winemaking process includes six weeks of skin contact with gentle care to avoid overextraction, with 20 % of the grapes not destemmed. Maturation occurs in a single 500 L used oak cask.
Expect notes of blackberry, black currant, and violet, in a wine that's very elegant and structured, displaying depth and finesse.
