Hausmarke Rot Solera 2020
Hausmarke Rot Solera 2020
The Solera aging method, often used for aging sherry, derives its name from the Spanish word 'solera,' which means 'lying at the bottom.' In this method, the lowest row of casks in a cask stack is bottled once a year, with a third of their content, and is refilled by a third of the cask of the upper rows. The casks on the top row are filled with the latest vintage. As a result, you get a well-balanced and complex blend through different vintages and individual wines from different varieties and blocks.
The base wine of this wine is from 2020 and is blended with vintages from 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021.
Blaufränkisch provides strength and tension, Zweigelt imparts freshness, Merlot adds fruitiness, and Pinot Noir contributes an elegant touch.
It has elegant and complex notes of cherry and redcurrant, with a juicy and vibrant character.
