Julien Sunier

Fleurie 2021 Bio

Fleurie 2021 Bio

Julien Sunier's Fleurie is crafted from Gamay grapes grown on high-altitude slopes in the Grand Pré and La Tonne vineyards. The vines are aged 25-60 years and thrive in a mix of granite, quartz, and sand.
The grapes undergo a 10-20 day carbonic maceration process, meaning that fermentation takes place inside the intact grape without oxidation, preserving the freshness and subtlety of the grapes while keeping tannins smooth.

After
8-11 months of maturation in used barrique casks, it reveals violet, raspberry, and wild strawberry notes on the nose. On the palate, it's fresh, mineral, juicy, and delicate, impressing with purity.
